The Antrim kingpins face defending Ulster champions Glen in their provincial opener on Sunday

When the great, all-conquering St Gall’s team began to break up, few expected another Antrim side team to dominate in the manner of the Milltown Row outfit.

The challenge for Cargin, as Devlin sees it, is to make “a dent” in Ulster, starting with Sunday’s daunting opener against holders Glen at Celtic Park.“They won like 13 in 14 years. It was mental stuff. When the sides met at the semi-final stage, five points separated the teams in Omagh with Danny Tallon scoring a late penalty for the Maghera side.

“You could say it is the worst draw we could have gotten, but that’s fine. If your aim is to win the competition, which it is, your going to have to play a team like this at some stage.
