A car was smashed into a solicitors building on a main road in Whitefield on Wednesday night . The wall of an external part of the building, on Bury New Road, appeared to have crumbled around the vehicle after the collision.
The pavement was taped off for a number of hours after the collision, with one man taken to hospital from the scene. The scene was made safe before the incident was investigated by police and the building inspector. Pictures from the scene showed how the silver car had smashed into the exterior wall of an extension on the building, with the wall crumbling around it and landing on the bonnet.
“Two fire engines from Whitefield and Broughton fire stations, as well as the Technical Rescue Unit from Ashton fire station, quickly arrived at the scene which involved a collision between two vehicles, with one crashing into the wall of a commercial property.
