Emergency services rushed to the scene on Overburn Crescent after the alarm was raised at around 4.25am on Thursday, March 28.
Images show the car, which officers say had been parked in the area at the time of the incident, was destroyed by the blaze.Police say they are investigating the fire and believe it was deliberately started. Detective Constable Gordon Hanley said: “We would urge anyone with information or who saw any suspicious activity in the area early this morning to get in touch.
