Captain Sir Tom Moore’s daughter Hannah Ingram-Moore hailed an emotional day as his family launched a fundraising drive to mark what would have been his 101st birthday
The family of Captain Tom daughter Hannah Ingram-Moore, grandchildren Benjie and Georgia, and son-in-law Colin Ingram-Moore, at Lord’s ringing the bell to officially launch the Captain Tom 100 weekend. Among the celebrities taking part, David Beckham will be doing 100 keepy-uppies, Mary Berry will be baking 100 cakes and Dame Judi Dench will be treating herself to 100 chocolates.
A YouTube assembly featuring Ms Ingram-Moore and Joe Wicks is also being shown to children across the UK today. ‘Our family has evolved into our new life and no fame or glory lives here, all that we want to do is champion his message and we feel it can have a powerful, positive impact and it’s our responsibility to make sure it happens.’
