MHnursesday I disagree that deragatory terms arent used so much now. Also a lot of psychiatric nurses are just not nice. I also disagree that human rights for mentally ill are respected. Nurses-even ones with mental illness wont see the same side as people without 'respectable' professions. i suffered mental burn out last year and still feel the effects even today . Not much help really as mental health services are struggling so cant afford to lose the staff they already have which puts large pressure on your mental health
