There have been fresh calls to bring 10,000 child refugees to safety in the UK amid events celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Kindertransport trains that saved many children from the Nazis.
If, (going by governments own statistics from previous 'child migrant' arrivals) of the 10,000 child refugees, only 3,000 will be children, according to UK definition of the term. In other words, around 7,000 will be fully bearded men, all looking for resources and benefits.

I notice the article claims that local councils have lots of spare places for refugee children which the govt has not filled. I thought councils had no money and were struggling to find places for thousands of UK kids in care ? .
And every one of those kids if accepted has the right to bring their extended family and any other dependants, which they know perfectly well but forgot to mention. Thanks for the offer but I will pass.
The UK took in Jewish children when the rest of the world turned their backs.Some parents were able to immigrate if work was found for them- saving their lives while the rest of the world ignored what was happening. I'm ashamed that the US ignored their pleas for help then & now.

We are so afraid of poverty, we have to face and deal with it, there isn't a perfect world. And poverty isn't living in a dirt floor but broken homes are.
