Celtic hero Cameron Carter-Vickers jumped on a table to send his condolences to Rangers – as Parkhead punters lapped up his title celebrations.
The USA international painted the town green after securing the tile and couldn't resist riffing on the meme every Celtic fan is quoting. A 16-year-old video clip of Aiden McGeady is back en vogue as the former star famously told their rivals 'Unlucky Rangers, three in a row'. And Carter-Vickers is in the know as he chanted it to delighted fans within popular nightspot Wunderbar.
Joe Hart – retiring at the end of the season – was loving the party atmosphere. And both will be itching to finish the season with a double when they take on Rangers in the Scottish Cup Final for the first time in 22 years. Celtic haven't lost to their fiercest foes all season long and now stand one win away from the double.
And Carter Vickers' defensive partner Liam Scales was over the moon. He said: “It’s just amazing, brilliant. Just a feeling of pure joy. I’ve won things back home in Ireland but this feels completely different because of the situation I was in and the turnaround I have had this year. I’ve been on the outside of these celebrations before. The first year before I went on loan it felt a bit like that. It was bittersweet.
“You were celebrating because the lads are your friends and your team-mates but you feel like you haven’t played your part as much as other people and it’s not as good. But I know I can really enjoy this now."
