A POPULAR budgeting app with 1.6million users is making a big change to fees that's been branded "incredibly disappointing".revealed that it five features that are currently free will now cost money as they become part of the paid-for plans from April 30."These changes come with the introduction of new limits in terms of the functionality you will be able to access in the app for free.
Emma Plus includes a number of extra features including more bank logins, higher interest rates, fraud detection, bill reminders and cash back. For this, you get extra features like unlimited bank logins, the ability to set savings goals, split transactions and rolling budgets.It has five extra features, including a business accounts function, unlimited bank transfers and maximum interest rates.
You can set up spending targets in categories, and a bill tracker flags if your direct debits are higher or lower than usual.Bank apps can usually alert you to your spending, and they might round it up each day, which helps you keep a closer eye on your spending as you go along. You can earn up to 2.7% AER in Plum's easy access interest account - but you could find better interest rates elsewhere.
