Browns hire former Titans coach Mike Vrabel as consultant: Source

The are hiring former head coach as a coaching and personnel consultant, a source confirmed to The Athletic. The Titans fired Vrabel in January Vrabel, 48, finished the 2023 season with a 6-11 record, his worst mark during his Titans tenure. It’s the second straight year Tennessee finished with a losing record and missed the postseason. The former Super Bowl-winning linebacker found plenty of success during his first four seasons as the Titans’ coach.

So it’s easy to view this as the Browns bringing another good football coach into their building who just happens to be overqualified for most roles and available to contribute ideas in a crucial season for the entire organization. The team will spin it as such. Advertisement Kevin Stefanski just won his second NFL Coach of the Year award in four years. He should be getting a long-term extension.
