Glasgow's Broadcast bar has reopened for the first time since workers raised a catalogue of concerns over working practices.
Staff demanded action on a number of issues including proper break areas, lack of security staff after 8pm, and outstanding wages and sick pay. They called on owners to investigate health and safety concerns, provide more transparency about pay, and for all staff to be provided with legally valid employment contracts. They also called for the company to provide fully paid transport after 11pm and bring in the Real Living Wage for all employees. It was confirmed to Unite Hospitality that the bar would be closed until "working conditions are improved" with the union's satisfaction from July 14.
