We’d like to hear from those still planning to book a holiday abroad this year

Dr Mike Tildesley, a member of the scientific pandemic influenza group on modelling, a Sage sub-group, said Britons risked bringing back new strains of the virus when returning from abroad.

Of Course the UK!

I'm just going to drop a load of acid and pretend I'm elsewhere

Truth slip

English might go to Scotland?

No chance - at least not while there’s an ‘English variant’ out there

Unless it's fully refundable, it's a massive risk. Despite the great success of our vaccine campaign, we can't control what happens in other countries.

Yes. Regardless of the rules

Not a Holiday but to prepare my house for its potential sale I might.

No.

That f word is offensive

Please don't come to Greece

No

Nope!

Personally I’m looking forward to the vaccine resistant Ibiza strain

no

Some people who live in the UK have their whole family abroad. This should not be considered as a holiday. So yes, if I am allowed to, I'll drive to France.

Yes, driving over the Alps to Monaco, then across the South of France to our home there.

Britons: Yes. Foreign countries: No.

Nope. Not stupid.

No because I'n not an over privileged entitled moron who almost certainly Votes Tory or is a Centrist Labour Apparatchik

Hahaha Bradford is the place

Do I have to buy a second home?

No.

Lots of people always say no to these things, so hopefully prices should come down a bit 👍🏻☀️

I want to see my family

What and get a £5000 fine.are you mad?

I expect the Guardian not to use 'Britons' in a Daily Mail style. Please don't descend to their level. If I see the word 'sunseekers' anywhere that will be the final straw.

I will be holidaying in France. No ifs, no buts. 🙂

Errr....no

No. And we normally have four a year ... workingclassvoice BrexitisDead WessexIndy

yes, once someone gives me £5,000, i'll book now if you loike

No just a fortnight in the murder van

Yes.

Has not that particular can been kicked down the road?

I don't want a holiday. I just want to spend time with my grandchildren.

We have a holiday booked for June (moved from Feb). Was meant to be an end of cancer treatment holiday for our daughter. I think we'll quite likely just end up staying in Scotland tho which will also be lovely.

are you trolling us?

Plus, insurance will not cover anything COVID-19 related as this is now a know risk which they have all excluded for new bookings. Caveat emptor ! Expect delays, cancellations, quarantine, etc . . . Fundamentally, there is a global pandemic !

No , Saying here in the UK now , not sure where to go ? Lake district , Nottingham or Cornwall ?

Serious challenge with abroad is any moment flights may be cancelled and/or rescheduled messing hotel booking. Combine that with quarantine on entry and/or quarantine on return, worst of which is 11 days in hotel at £1,750 PP. None of which this can be predicted !

Who on earth would be willing to welcome a Briton, given that covid19 is flying freely in Britain.

Am going to Wales for the first time (if they’ll have me). 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

hmm ,another msm ploy to divide public opinion and create division

We dearly would love to but are realistic given there is a global pandemic. The new variants certainly arn't going to help here. So, things have been booked in UK without deposit and there is still hope for a trip abroad although very unlikely.

Nope.

Have had one booked for July since 2019 (had to move it form last year), but wouldn't contemplate booking a new one.

Whose got money to go anywhere?! I couldn't even afford to go to Brighton and a stick of rock!

No

Couple of months ago I came across a recommendation about DennisWilliam56 wealth how he helped investors to earn lots of money with their investments. and I decided to give a trial with the little I have. Now my little has turned into something great which was not my expectation

We do not want you. Stay on your rainy island.

No £800pm furlough, £80,000 of my own cash lost this past year and who knows what my business will return as if office practices change, so no. Any other salt you'd like to rub into the wounds ?

nope

I want to see my family!

Have you spoken to StanleyPJohnson yet?

No...home will be safer...plus our own country needs help from us.

Hopefully, as that will mean the pandemic is nearing the end and under control

Yes, in Scotland.

No, only refugees.

Nope. Holidays in the UK hopefully. 🤞

I booked one and will have had both vaccine does before the departure date in August but I am now worried it may be delayed. Insurance will cover it Summer2021 holidays

I it would be absolutely stupid to even contemplate a holiday abroad. Staycations will be possible with any luck. Our economy needs every penny!

Nosey.

No, but I know a man who is StanleyJohnson

Did you learned the lesson right?

Comedy gold

🤣🤣🤣

Errr...no.

Sort of but more of a family visit

I'd be happy enough just to see my friends who live down the road.

I’m not that stupid.

To wales?

No I’m not, actually.

No, I’m holidaying in Blackpool in a 3-star B&B having a cooked breakfast every morning that has been bought bulk from Iceland and the sausages are grey. I just can’t wait 👍

No. I hope to go to beautiful Tenby

A very unwise thing to do !

That’s so 2019

Yes, I'm in Scotland, once travel restrictions are lifted I'm going to England.

Stay home with your bloody vaccine.

Please don’t. Think of the bigger picture.

I've never got this 'got to go abroad' Thing. Never. So much beautiful stuff to see in the UK.

Was planning to go ahead with what was booked last year but that looks dicey now!

What's foreign? Whats holiday? 🙃🙃

No, of course not.

Nope. Going to go to good old Scotland, where I go every year 🤪

Book one, yes. I need to support our travel industry

No. Don't be stupid!

All the people replying no like there is no covid here anymore, you’re just as likely to catch it in the supermarket as you are going abroad

Nope!

Still got last year's to go on. VaccinePassports

If we could afford it, we'd be off to Marrakech in a heartbeat.

“Who are the Britons”

No, not that stupid. Stay at home everyone!

No. Too soon.

Does Scotland count?

I'm flip-flopping between Iran or North Korea.

I'm going to Worthing; to me, that's exotic now. I can't wait!

No as I'm not a selfish bastard 😂

Funny....😳🙏

Stay at home, you buy local, food, drink, Somerset, Dorset, Dover... take your pick. Birmingham city centre is getting bigger and bigger all the time...🔏💡🤑🤯🧠

I can’t see why they don’t just move this summer to 2022 and add on the bank holidays they ruined last year too

Been skiing twice over the winter & will be away for Easter, but then I don’t live in the UK. Wouldn’t dream of taking my family into a confined space like a plane though

Nope, but we paid for my kids school trip to Iceland in October well in advance, I really hope it isn’t cancelled...

No

Sure you do. You would love this pandemic to go on forever.

No, the idea of queuing at border control next to gammons and centrists terrifies me.

No

I've booked time off from work end of August just in case. No tickets bought though. I think uk will be fine by then although Spain won't due to the lack of vaccine roll out.

Yep. Already booked, going regardless.

Only if you are mental..selfish or stupid.

We only have this planet where we physically can live as a part of its fantastic creation of nature. It's up to us, to each and one of us, to protect and use this magnificent planet we're living on.

Normally it’s abject poverty which keeps me from travelling abroad. However, this year, I’m please to announce it’s COVID ToryBritain

No

not seen my mum in over a year... not a holiday, but yes, I plan to go abroad

Yeah. Who's gonna stop me?

No

Russia and China have some fantastic deals on and 15% off of you produce your Labour Party membership card. Momentum card holders only get 5% off.

No

I escaped uk last week, get out before full lock down on travel

No. Not worth the angst.

Try using celts instead

No. I am however trying to work out if I can get to a funeral.

I’m planning nowt mate. These daft sods will only spoil things if I do.

Well, we wouldn't advise holidaying onboard the Event Horizon! CAW!

No. Too risky. Even though flights might be going somewhere you could be restricted to a hotel that's got fork all going on. You try and cancel and loss hundreds in a deposit.

Yep. I'm hoping to fly to Spain and not be allowed back in my own country when we hit lockdown 4. Then I'm stuck in sunny Spain ☀️🇪🇸

No

Considering the gov just slyly implemented the travel ban through to June 30, I don’t think we can!

Yes please , we all need holidays when it is safe to do so

Don't go abroad right now, just go to Blackpool!

No

No

No, just trying to think of ways of getting out of this silly, weakened, isolated, and xenophobic little island!!

No

I've already got a holiday booked which I booked months ago. I seriously doubt it's going to happen though so instead it's likely spending summer again which will be shit as pretty much all UK summers are.

Why are people obsessed with foreign holidays? Most of the time its hotter here than the most popular destinations. Right now our own economy is important, shouldn't spend to help other countries unnecessarily

I'd rather not. There are beautiful places to visit in the UK

I'd be worried about getting locked down in resort, and whether my insurance would cover extra costs. No I'll holiday in the UK this year

Nope because - A - I’m not selfish B - I’m not stupid And C - I’m not looking to get ill or infect by transmission anyone else Pretty simple

No.

Nooooooooooooope

No I’ll wait till September and see then.

Staycation Holistay

YES

Yes. As soon as possible. To either Texas or Florida.

Yep.

The uk will be the safest place this summer. We’ll be one of the only countries in the world fully vaccinated

I'm just planning to survive. What about you?

No, I'd like to be able to have a coffee in a friend's house down the road first, without breaking the law

Total madness if you do, get your heads around the fact there is a world wide pandemic raging across the continent, and the virus thrives on social behaviour and activities.

Yes.

Naw that's for the stupid and selfish.

No, that would be insane
