The victim was stabbed during a fight outside the Oxygen nightclub in Calella A British man has died after being stabbed outside a nightclub on the Spanish coast in the early hours of this morning. Local media reported that a fight broke out in front of the Oxygen club in Calella, a seaside resort roughly 30 miles from Barcelona. The man, said to have been a tourist of English origin, died at the scene. A second victim was also injured and is currently being treated in hospital.
CCTV footage from the nightclub is being reviewed in the search. A number of bystanders who witnessed the fight have also been interviewed. Authorities were reportedly in the process of contacting British officials later on Friday morning to pass the news onto the victim’s family.
