A British woman who was kidnapped, held at gunpoint and raped by a man she met in Australia has revealed her desperation for someone to notice her bruises and help.
Elisha was forced to drive almost 1,000 miles through the outback by Martin who told her when she could stop to get petrol and supplies. Over several months, beginning after they met at a bush party in Cairns, Queensland, Martin subjected Elisha to a horrific pattern of beatings and rapes. The first time Martin attacked was just a few days after the pair had met. Elisha assumed they were friends but said her attacker became obsessed with her.Elisha Greer told This Morning how she was desperate for someone to notice her bruises and help ‘He beat me up, he gave me black eyes and scratched me and bit me.
Desperate to escape Martin’s clutches before he killed her, she hatched a plan to get caught by the police, who would be forced to ask questions.
