British Airways will begin talks with its pilots on Monday to avert a potentially damaging summer strike. Pilots have rejected a pay increase worth 11.5% over three years, which the airline says is"fair and generous". However, the British Airline Pilots' Association argues that its members deserve a better offer, as BA has been making healthy profits.Pilots have until 22 July to vote in a strike ballot. If the vote is in favour and the Balpa calls a strike, it would have to give the airline two weeks' notice.
is tebbit standing in support of the pilots union-or will he repeat is mantra of no jobs for life get on yer bike like daddy did? i bet the whopper won't dare to comment.
💭 should be written in their contracts that they can't strike
Maybe they're striking because they don't want to fly in the 737 MAX, seems like BA are the only idiots still buying them
Yes in their interest without the ability to fly how could they keep the insignia Airways, would they become a grounded British alone? Perhaps symbolic of its namesakes position over Brexit.

It always seems to be BA that get hit with these strikes. Is there a culture of militant unionism at that firm? Low paid ground staff I could have some sympathy with, but high paid pilots? That's just getting greedy.
Breaking - British Airways looks up from the barrel it is over and offers pilots more cash.
Simple solution will come of this, planes that will fly themselves. Best get them strikes in while you can before you are replaced.
