Jacob is believed to have fallen down the well after being chased through the village by a dog 😱

A British man who fell down a 13ft well in Bali has been rescued after six days of surviving without food or water.

Jacob Roberts, 29, is believed to have fallen down the well at a disused water reservoir near Petjatu after being chased through the village by a dog. He is understood to have broken his leg. He was eventually rescued after a farmer heard his screams for help while going out to feed his cows, local search and rescue chief Gede Darmada said. The team were then able to lift him from the four-metre deep pit.

Describing his appearance, South Kuta police chief Yusak Agustinus Sooai said Mr Roberts looked ‘thin and injured’ after the rescue. He added: ‘The victim claimed to have been trapped there about six days before an evacuation was carried out by the Basarnas team on Saturday.’Mr Roberts was taken to BIMC Nusa Dua Hospital for treatment and is expected to make a full recovery.
