Sun-seeking Brits flying out to Spain are being stung by a 'Covid tax' slapped on drinks 'illegally' by bar owners, it has been claimed.
I understand that the beleaguered tourist trade in Spain wants to recoup its losses, but screwing-over tourists isn't going to encourage people back into the country & those that do go will likely spend less.
They have broken covid restrictions by going and should be arrested on their return- they are also defying FCO travel advice so won’t have valid travel insurance either
my advice? Don't go to a lot of EU countries for your holiday. Many are still sulking about Brexit and want to make Brits uncomfortable. Go somewhere we're welcome for who we are, not the £ we intend to spend.
