Brit Awards 2023 live: Harry Styles kicks off ceremony - as Aitch and Beyonce pick up first prizes

"That rock 'n'roll, eh? That rock'n'roll, it just won't go away. It might hibernate from time to time, and sink back into the swamp..." If you think you recognised that speech from Wet Leg - winning their first award of the night, best new artist - then you'd be right. This was part of the rather bizarre speech given by Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner at the Brits in 2014 - before his famous mic drop.

Hopefully, Wet Leg will win more awards tonight and can maybe take on some other famous Brits moments. Wet Leg have won their first ever Brit award - taking home the prize for best new artist. In her acceptance speech, Rhian Teasdale said being on the TV can sometimes feel like a"boys club" as she thanked the women behind the group's success.
