What are people talking about when they refer to a level playing field and what has it to do with Brexit?

On the one hand, almost all trade agreements involve level playing field provisions, because all parties are keen to ensure their businesses aren't operating at a commercial disadvantage. But the EU is also taking other factors into account - notably, that the UK is one of the world's largest economies and is right on its doorstep.that sets out the framework for the future relationship between the EU and the UK makes this link explicit.

One option is to have what are known as non-regression clauses, which means the two sides would agree not to water down the shared rules they currently have. But that won't be acceptable in London. Last week, Chancellor Sajid Javid told the Financial Times:"There will not be alignment, we will not be a rule taker."

Getting rid of the BBC would be a start.

It means that the EU, will not agree to a trade deal, that allows us to undercut them, on workers rights or other industrial standards.

Boris yes we’ll have the best level playing field in the world......... Donald we will have the best level playing field in the world ....

The fish really was zis big

I imagine for the EU everything that is stacked in their favour

once the clown rakes us out, what will it matter. they owe us nothing, we wasn't forced out we chose to leave-ergo-it's our fault. if we had used our brains at the start, maybe, things would have been different. we didn't so live with it.

27 countries against the UK. Not level at all. They're running scared.

Probably Holland. That's pretty flat.

Reporting on the horrendous violence our French friends have suffered by the hand of Macron and the facist EU would be a start.

Wembley’s pretty good, Centre Court at Wimbledon is superb.

The outcome most likely is British companies will trade with tariffs to EU Those companies have a problem impact can b offset with trade access to new markets Let's not get bogged down with endless talks get on with it Boris

Did EU talk about level playing when signing trade deals with Canada, Japan etc? Another nonsensical statement coming from EU!

The ability for the EU to stifle competition.. They can dress it up however they fancy, but it will take us no time to adjust to market conditions, unlike the EU.. An agile competitor on their doorstep will be a nightmare for them, everyone knows it

According to pravdabbc it is whatever the EU says it is. More and more EU propaganda pushed out on behalf of their EU paymasters.

No mention of humanism, racial discrimination?

Stab in the back, according to the EU

When you will be get done with it
