Brexit: Leave supporters rally outside Parliament

rejected Prime Minister Theresa May's withdrawal dealThe UK had been due to leave the EU on 29 March, but both sides agreed to postpone the date last week after Mrs May was twice unable to get her Brexit deal through the Commons.Strange atmosphere in Parliament SquareThe mood and atmosphere in Parliament Square is very strange for a demonstration.

When the news came through that MPs had, yet again, refused to back the PM's draft deal, the reaction was rather mooted.

Government - failed. Parliament - failed. People must take over with a Gen Election WITHOUT any of the 650 failures. They should be banned from standing again as they have proved beyond doubt that they are incompetent and must be sacked.

All the remainers going on about the size of the crowds - why are you bothered? Your NOT bothered about the numbers when it comes to those who actually VOTE!

Will the BBC stop calling the Union Flag the Union Jack. It is only called the Union Jack when it is flown from the jackstaff on a Royal Navy ship.

Not really many folk there really is there...really

Most remainers only excuse for absence was if they were signing on . They only had to jump on a bus being as most of them live round the corner . With the exception of the terrorism and knife I can see why they never go further north of Watford. London is a Beautiful city .

So funny, this small attendance gets the same coverage as half a million last week !

Strong. We are many.

👍

I wonder if the the twat that keeps shouting 'stop Brexit' has taken a tea break.

The BBC would say there are hundreds of thousands marching if it was Remoaners but as it’s Leavers it will only be thousands!

A Great Lack of Maturity in UK’s Politics - The Aim conveyed is Not the People’s Will who won the Referendum or People who truly stand up for Democracy and on the contrary The Aim is to remain under the influence of EU where money will prevail and where Decisions are Biased.

Is this pic of the peoples vote? How many were on the remain event this afternoon. Why has no-one at the BBC been able to compare the event with the peoples vote March

A Great Lack of Maturity in UK’s Politics - The Aim conveyed is Not the People’s Will who won the Referendum or People who truly stand up for Democracy and on the contrary The Aim is to remain under the influence of EU where money will prevail and where Decisions are Biased.

The rally has been hijacked by the far right

Is that 5 million leavers depending on Parliament BBC? You couldn't count last time? Turning into Abbott. Lol

We could all be there demonstrating but the pillocks in Westminster would still acting like children!!

remainers are very quick to point out that the demo here has attracted less marchers than last week's remain and maybe they are, so it would therefore seem that numbers are important to them after all, all except the numbers that actually voted to leave in 2016?

It’s simple we voted to leave. Somehow the politicians don’t seem to get this!! They must be thick!!

I see the Lazy remoaner click are on here . Oh are they not silly the remoaner click. We also will be leaving EU.

Oh get a grip, 'Our turn out was bigger than yours' yours was on a weekend. doubt remainers would of had the turn out they did if it was a working day.

Millions of people there

Bunch of uneducated idiot's lol *sips tea*

Mmm well we all have our point of view and if the decision is the same I fir one will support it but I will Northwich support a vote based on lies

Why does the BBC feel the need to give precious air time to a reprehensible liar and Con-artist like Farage (who with Johnson and Gove has cost this country millions by misleading it into a false Brexit). It makes the BBC an accessory to the deception!

Not as many as PeoplesVote, isn't there also some Yaxley supporters there?

audinarygirl Million and one I reckon if we use the remainer counting method

Well said

Where did they leave their Unicorns?

All these comments about the amount of support is only adding to the division already in our country.

Excuses have started: It’s a work day, 2nd ref march was full of foreigners, 😂

Get ready for remoaners to say '' yeh but no but yeh but, we had more people and that ya know more turned out but you cant say that coz I'm right your wrong and well its well illegal but ya know we're right 🤣'' idiots

Far right rally with toy town Tommy spouting crap!

Have they all got the day off work?

if we use the peoples vote calculator there is at least 2 million there

Looks like about the same as remain March only with more adults and legal uk voters. You should learn to count BBC/EBC and on a working day to well impressed.

Looks about a million people.

Typical how they had to waste words 'dead-naming' Tommy Robinson. Bet they wouldn't do that to anyone else. WE KNOW!

No deal. Hahaha the UK is screwed

Sad - badly organised event, poor coverage and the sound system is pathetic - no one can hear.

fbpe bedwetters crying again, poor diddums..

For crying out loud. Why are the BBC, Sky and everyone else on TV talking about a face-off between the PM's WA and the 'winner' of the 2nd round of indicative votes next week? They are not mutually exclusive! We are too obsessed with reality TV.

‘Thousands.’ Aw that’s cute.

Maybe not the estimated 1 million from last week who used up police resources rather than trying to stop the continual stabbings and other crime plaguing the city but then again the 1 million is nowhere near the 17 million plus who voted to leave

Can’t leave? Long extension

Why are BBC regularly showing leave marchers in London today when they virtually ignored the biggest march for a Final Say on 23rd. Bias

This is now about more than brexit. This is about MPs betraying our democracy.

Sorry as can’t be there as with many leave supporters, have to work. Hoping to be working for a better Britain out of the EU.

Not looking forward to sunset ..😣

Albion_Rover

One thing is sure, all of Parliament are certainly a bunch of mass debaters.

Wait until the UK rejoin as an election promise. That'll be funny!

Wow. The bbcnews is now Pravda. How does that photo of the Peoples March illustrate the story? If no picture is available, why choose a replacement at odds with the reporting?

Appeasement Brexit. It’ll be delivered to appease a handful of drunken, violent, moronic bigots. Or as I call them, cunts. Oh and to make a select few very rich.

Is there a million of them, because if not, it doesn't count, it's irrelevant.... Yeah, see how that feels!?!

It is incredulous bbcpolitics. Stay objective & refrain from AlternativeFacts & FakeNews. Just tell us the numbers & please don't say there's no accurate way of ascertaining this! BrexitDay Brexit FridayFeeling

Well done to all 👍👍👍

What all 3 of them?

Let's see if the BBC will give has much coverage of the leave marchers as the remain one last week

Are these the ones that told the remain rally million to shut up and accept the outcome of the referendum? Works both ways. No Brexit today. Long may that last. 🇪🇺

Looking at the BBC news, there's a lot of reactolite going on in the crowd.

There won't be any trouble- the thick Northerners are not used to this weather. They'll wilt before they can muster up a 'just get on with it'.

6 million according to certain historians.

Pleas verify if this picure is correct, it does not appear to be accurate

Not quite the turnout for the PeoplesVoteMarch and Tommy Robinson making it even more distasteful.

Get a grip BBC, thats a photo from last Saturdays demo.

Are using fake picture?

Has a remainer voter I'm disappointed with the remainders the leave campaign won and we should respect that, this how democracy works yes they won by a small % but they still won. It's time to move on together and start asking questions why MP's & PM not worked out a deal

how about the BBC air this and show some facts for once

SON: Dad what would it look like to have all the racists in one place? DAD: like this son, like this.

To all those laughing at the turnout, do remember that leave won the referendum by having more votes than remain. You know, during the referendum, when it counted.

Plenty of Brits prepared to stand up for democracy outside parliament. How many will (now) do so inside the Commons, the nation wonders? Now is a time for lions (patriots) 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 LeaveMeansLeaveMarch 🇬🇧

At least a billion people there.

Jeremy Corbyn remembering Glastonbury crowd . Oh Jeremy Corbyn.

reporting the fact that Tommy Robinson was speaking with no disclaimer or context, as though he is a legitimate political voice. He's a bloody nazi!!

Ark at all the Remoaners on here...😂😂 U had ur ‘million person’ march (200-400k Tops according to the Met) The fact that Leave needs a march after having already won the referendum is a stain on democracy anyway! Shame on u all!

Reports from the same source who counted last weeks remain march ! Must be at least 70 million there and still rising !!

Remove that picture. It is the picture from a pro-EU demo.

Are they all going to sign on

😂😂😂😂😂

Leave or remain. I find everyone's casual dismissal of democracy extremely sad. One day something your children vote on will be decided on, then will be rejected. This scenario is not something anyone should be using as a contest against each other. I pity our country today.

Call rentokil they can deal with the vermin while they are all in one place

Was there a million?

According to the media only twenty turned up.

Tell them there’s a sale on at sports direct, that should clear them quickly.

At least two million and another 6 million on their way including the French yellow vests Fact.

Hope you truthfully report numbers attending. Merely a thousand or do, compared to over a million last Saturday. Get it right, please.

By my reckoning...... A million and one!

Now we're talking. 👏👏👏

Looks like an OAP day out to me.

I wonder if they’ll behave themselves like remainders did ☹️☹️☹️

Why are you using picture of the People's Vote March at the top of this article?

Pretty sure that aerial photo is from the People’s Vote March and there’s a couple of people outside Parliament (and inside for that matter) who have no idea what they voted for...

Must be 2ml ..at least !!

looks like abouta million (or not)

Guaranteed they'll mostly be old people who really need to stop ruining the future for everyone else

Wow Well Done Guys so Proud of You All Stay chilled I know we should have been leaving today X

So less than the remain supporters then? They'll probably use the excuse it's a weekday...

Always a winner when you have Stephen Yaxley-Lennon at your demo y 🙄 (That merch doesn't shift itself you know)

all the snide, sarcastic, jealousy from losers to follow

You should highlight Tommy's criminal record.

Not exactly 1.6 million is it?

Bedwetting Gammons

At least 8 million there

2 millions at least 🇬🇧

Large group of people who want Parliament to be Sovereign regretting what they wished for.

Tommy Robinson is speaking. Must be a family day.

But but .. the extention.. everyone agreed...

oooh I reckon that's gotta be 2 million at least....

Wow! There must be dozens of them
