The attorney general considered the new documents published last night, which he helped to negotiate, and concluded that they offered additional legal reassurance to the UK, which he described as substantive and binding. So here Mr Cox says the risk of getting stuck in the backstop has been reduced but it hasn't been removed altogether.
His argument is that the UK has a route out of the backstop if the EU fails to act in good faith - but proving bad faith in front of an international tribunal is a difficult thing to do. But it doesn't change the text of the proposed backstop arrangements, there's still no end date and no clear exit mechanism for one party without the agreement of the other.
This excerpt emphasises that if relations became really difficult in the future then - in theory - nothing would be ruled out.

Labour is talking about an alternative Brexit deal. A nightmare, another two years of pantomime and not arriving at a decision. What world do these people live in.
Time the PM stood down & we leave with no deal
Why are the Welsh sheep keeping a low profile?
Main worry is it’s rejected and to leave without a deal. Those who r in control of UK be it business or government will ensure that a mess will effect UK.
I think the only sound thing to do now is resignation of T. May, an extension to Brexit negotiation period, a general election and a second referendum.
So fed up of hearing about brexit!!!!
I want us out of the EU on March 29th with no deal.
Mrs May - JUST GET US GONE
What is the point in voting when MPs are going against us & choosing their own agenda
Can we keep some Eastern European’s to help build a wall on the Island of Ireland. Cannot get the paddies to quote for the job!
ANY MP willing to put the peace in Ireland in jeopardy, needs sacked & thrown out of Politics, NOTHING is more important, :PEACE in Ireland is everything, & all MP's need to understand, NO MATTER WHAT, IRELAND MUST STAY AS IT IS, no matter what Junker says, ignore him if we must
The BBC don't know they can't read
SkyNews itvnews The general synopsis issued on 1800 on 12March 2019 Low 150 miles west of Bailey 953 expected Cromarty 969 by midnight tonight . THATS RIGHT PEOPLE The only thing that has changed is the weather.!!
No deal
That depends on who you listen to. DKshrewsbury was spinning a good yarn earlier about having to adopt the Euro by 2020 (unchecked, despite the furore re EstherMcVey1 blatantly lying about the same thing yesterday). Maybe you could check in with him!
Ask yourself.. could you do a better job?
The Legally Binding instrument states that nothing in the Withdrawal Agreement has or can change. The term are unchanged and therefore points 2 and 3 in your report are surplus.
The documents says - Goodbye Mrs May. You tried your best but the British Public doesn’t agree with you. Most of the MPs will vote against your Deal once again! We’ll head towards GeneralElection & PeoplesVote for NoBrexit now!
Let’s remain a really screw it up from within 👍
Brexshit
