In the last few weeks, viewers have watched top athletes go head-to-head in a series of physically demanding challenges harkening back to the original 1990s gameshow. Father-son tag team Barney and Bradley host the programme but their typical banter fell flat with audiences tonight after a tease wasn't well received.
Barney and Bradley acknowledged two former Gladiators who had incredible track records with the challenge: Jet and Wolf. The pair first appeared on series one in 1992 and remained fan favourites throughout the decade. Barney asked his dad to confirm the news as he beamed with excitement. Speaking over the blaring audience cheers, Bradley added: "Yeah, they're back at home watching from the comfort of their living room. They're not mad. I miss you jet."
Accompanied by a strongly worded gif of a man rolling his eyes, Funkygibbons said: "“Jet and wolf are back….at home watching” The viewers at that joke...." RossDeku added: "That was NOT funny with Bradly teasing us that wolf and jet were there watching the final."
