BP's underlying replacement cost profit, the company's definition of net earnings, reached $8.45bn in the second quarter, the strongest since 2008 and far exceeding analysts' expectations for a $6.8bn profit.

That compares with a $6.25bn profit in the first three months of 2022 and one of $2.8bn a year earlier. "BP continues to build a track record of delivery against its disciplined financial frame," chief financial officer Murray

While we just work and slave away and accept it eh

As we prepare to make the decision to eat or heat and then die, these abhorrent high net worth politicians, who have no idea about the cost of living, prune their feathers without a care in the world. Watch the suicide rate rocket!

I think it's only fair to raise prices further, BP are clearly struggling

So give war and inflation a reason for price hike on everything is not a good reason when the profit are still made in a good sum. It is the greed of these rich people who are running the show.

Whist everyone else is struggling to pay fuel bills

You can thank the traders for all that.

That ain't BT it's limewire 😂

Theft

Great job BP. Keep up the great work. 👍🇬🇧

What a shock....

So the we're making about £1000 every SECOND..... wow.

Our government make more money out of fuel than the fuel companies. Don’t be fooled by the recent dip in price at pumps. It’s still at least 40p a litre more than it needs to be.

We need people to be poorer for rich people to be richer they will get rich on anything covid wars etc

Why doesn't Sky News reporter on Fuel Company profits tell the public the truth that the govt. is taking massive tax profits on fuel prices so as to build up Treasury for a hand out b4 next General Election. They are Masters of buying false victory. We all pay in the long run.

Tell me again how the high oil price has ANYTHING TO DO WITH UKRAINE, and isn't just corporate price gouging whilst they are taking the piss...

Well, they are obviously not being taxed enough. They need to be taxed. Tax them.

Of course, when they...... anyway, lemme save my speech.

They control our lives. Something needs to change. They should not be allowed to hold this much sway over the world. Natural resources like this should not be in the private hands of a company.

Full tank and run today

Why are we accepting this, absolute disgrace

We all have the same 24 hours

BP = British Piracy 🏴‍☠️ a National shame on us all (again)

Scandalous.

It's totally obscene given how people are struggling. Stop buying BP fuel, simple.

Greedy cunts

Scum

Boycott their petrol stations. They are paying the staff minimum wage. Just use supermarket forecourts from now. Make the scum suffer.

Looks like a bunch of Tory MP’s will be getting a nice little bonus this quarter then

Just boycott them wherever possible, bp_UK you should be ashamed while people are struggling you have undoubtedly added to this. Over the course of 52 weeks, I spend thousands on your forecourts, from today …. No more

And you have been complicit in this Agenda30 right from day one. Msm is a joke. Untrustworthy BS spewed out daily.

WTF is going on?! Time maybe for us the people to operate these petrol stations lol ..like the energy bill’s can’t pay don’t pay ...they’ll all collapse if we stopped buying /paying works both ways think about it we can STOP this too! Even just a week they’d all collapse

That’s because they kept the price up despite the government subsidizing the hike with our tax money.

And people will still blindly accept Tory rule. The party in power with the power to stop this would rather you pay to line the pockets of the fat cats. And that’s precisely what we’re all being forced to do! ToryCostOfLivingCrisis ToriesUnfitToGovern

Well, we can clearly see who’s making all the profit whilst families are struggling to survive! Surely this is clear enough for the government to be bringing in a windfall tax on these companies.

Fabulous

They are all laughing in our faces.

Just not right 😕

And Conservatives is still promising them Tax cut !

Taking the absolute piss now..

Again I ask you. WHICH MP'S HAVE A MAJOR SHAREHOLDING IN THESE ENERGY COMPANIES!!!? Anyone know

Sounds about right, the rich get richer and the poorest stay poor. Great job BorisJohnson hopefully your predecessor will do a better job than you

So Shell have doubled their profit in 12m. Centrica have increased operating profits 5 fold and now BP highest profits in 14 years. We're being taken for mugs. But Gov want us to believe Unions are issue.

Absolutely disgraceful

Absolutely disgusting and nothing but greed

It's a fucking con Conservatives scums ripping us all off again
