A NINE-year-old boy was stabbed repeatedly "all over his body" in a "particularly horrific attack" - and was only saved by the coat he was wearing, a court heard today.
Prosecutor Alex Hinds told how the boy was attacked while being followed as he was walking along the street with his brother. The defendant, wearing prison issue grey sweatshirt and with cropped dark hair, spoke only to confirm his name and address during the brief hearing he appeared in person at.Officers were called to Peveril Road by the ambulance service at 3.24pm on Saturday.He was later transferred to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, where he remains in a stable condition.
