Sleeping toddler stabbed to death 'by mum’s ex-boyfriend'

Three-year-old Hunter Straight-Smith was left with severe brain damage after being knifed by Daniel Jensen, 33.He was attacked as he slept at his mum's house in Winnipeg, Canada on Wednesday.

Jensen - who is not Hunter's biological dad - attacked the tot after a blazing row with ex-partner Clarice Smith. Little Hunter died on Saturday after his family made the agonising decision to switch off his life support.The tot's heartbroken family paid tributeOfficers said Jensen walked to Clarice's house to attack Hunter sortly after their six-month relationship ended in a furious row.Bianca Smith, one of Hunter's aunts wrote in a Facebook post: "My life forever changed.

"People in the community who may not even have known the individual but live there are traumatised when they know someone's been killed on their block or their street or their community.
