Such a shame 😢

Boxing champion Tyson Fury has pulled out of buying a Nottinghamshire pub. The current owner has said the world champion heavyweight boxer will no longer be the landlord of The Brick and Tile in Retford.

Lincolnshire Live reports Mr Fury was set to purchase the pub for his family who are believed to live in nearby Treswell. He said he first heard the Gypsy King was interested in purchasing the pub from Mr Fury's brother-in-law, who then brought him in to meet Mr Brown. However, Mr Fury has since pulled out and the deal will no longer be going ahead, the 65 year old confirmed. Shoppers said in the past they would have welcomed the Gypsy King to Retford.

"If he wants to come here then sure," she said. "It would bring money into the area, regardless of how people feel about him or his background. "It'd be even nicer to see the high street full." But another resident said she "wasn't bothered at all" by the idea, seeing the boxing champ as "just another guy" who goes jogging in Treswell.
