I'll believe it when it happens. Until then, it's just more empty words from a PM known to lie about everything.

A leader who does things wholeheartedly will always arouse admiration, but a Laodicean one who put off taking action will never succeed in mastering support for his enterprise!

THAT GOOD!

Why does politics only care about the rich & poor? Us mugs in the middle rarely benefit we just fund the often ill conceived vote whoring ideas 😐 I just want to access the bloody housing market. Screw all you politicians

Wheres it coming from? Why don't they plough a billion into London knife culture. Must be a way to sort that out.

Anything else he’s dreamed of?

splashing the cash around funding everything here and there.... that means austerity has ended by the very definition of it. but moaners will still claim otherwise as they want to use the same old obsolete arguments

I'm sure this £5bn must not be anything to do with bus companies reoccurent donations to the Tory party. £5bn spent regulating the shoddy services and disguisting vehicles would be a wise investment in the future of public transport.

Scotland will be independent in 5 years and Ireland will be united in less than 10. I can just imagine all the Home Counties Tory nimbys being up in arms at a motorway being driven through Loch Lomond national park. Feel sure N Ireland and Scotland would rather be given £10 bill each to improve their own infrastructure and services.
