Boris Johnson 'to announce 10pm curfew on pubs across England'

A nationwide curfew will be imposed on the hospitality industry as one of a package of measures to tackle soaring coronavirus cases, according to The Sun.

The newspaper claims that pubs, bars and restaurants could be forced to shut completely in virus hotspots. Police will also be stepping patrol of venues that are allowed to stay open to make sure they are obeying the ‘rule of six’.

Gov is clearly closing pubs early so that revellers binge drink before 09:30 then cram onto crowded public transport and taxi's all at the same, particularly in University towns, then impromptu drunk house parties to provide pretext for full lockdown. CAMRA_Official

With BoJo’s new rules pubs will be more crowded. And most close at 11 anyway. It is like telling Italians that restaurants will be closed 5pm-7pm, while most of us have dinner at after 8pm anyway

I've not been in a pub & I've not been anywhere for a meal since early March but i feel much safer knowing the virus goes to bed & becomes inactive at 10pm.
