Boris Johnson thanks Brits for their 'sacrifice' over coronavirus COVID19

He praised Brits who didn't visit their mums today, and instead made-do with a loving message over FaceTime or Skype or instead picked up the phone.Speaking at today's daily coronavirus press conference he said: "I want to thank everybody in the country today who...is being forced of course to do something differently today."The PM also thanked businesses who shut down, missing out on crucial Mother's Day profits.

He vowed the government would "stand behind" British business and workers throughout the crisis and was quick to remind Brits they were "saving lives." Thousands today scrapped plans for Sunday roasts at posh pubs and fancy meals out after scores of businesses closed their doors Friday.Writing for The Sun yesterday

He continued: "I know that everyone’s strongest instinct is to go and see their mother in person, to have a meal together, to show them how much you love them. But I am afraid that this Mothering Sunday, the single best present that we can give — we who owe our mothers so much — is to spare them the risk of catching a very dangerous disease.

Joke what a joke he is no balls we need lockdown.

The majority yes but there are still “mindless ignorant idiots” out there! Clamp down and police it strongly for the good of ALL of us!

Most aren’t though

Useless tw*t! It may be simpler if the Armed Services took over the handling of the Coronavirus crisis, worked with the NHS, PHE & Civil service directly: bring in John Major & Gordon Brown to ensure oversight. Boris has FAILED FAILED

Brits told 'there is plenty of food' as supermarkets open coronavirus 'war room'Britons have been told to stop panic buying during the coronavirus pandemic and think of NHS workers who find shelves empty after working a long shift on the front line of the fight against Covid-19 Took me a whole week to collect the ingredients of a fry up, managed to get sausages today and a neighbor gifted me eggs. Just seen 2 young lads no older than 18 buy 6 large bags of flour, dying to know how big that cakes gonna be. Hope everyone makes sure that the truck drivers are being treated with respect! It's thanks to them that the food & essential items are getting to the stores. In the U.S Pennsylvania had closed all the truck stops where those longing items long distance sleep use the rest room & grab a quick bite to eat. Thankfully this horrible activity was reported to the White House & NOW 9 rest stops have reopened. Hoping the Brits are treating their truck drivers better than Pennsylvania had. Just saying.
