Boris Johnson has promised again to ramp up capacity to test for coronavirus, amid a blame game over why small private laboratories across the country have not been enlisted in a “Dunkirk” approach.
Matt Hancock's pledge today: '100,000 tests a day at the end of April' Made on the day less than 3000 NHS staff has been tested so far. Pick a bigger target further away in the future. Tried & tested technique to avoid scrutiny of past & present (non)action. Sad journalism.
Last week he lied but hes saying the same thing again
Remind me who he is again?
Give us deadlines and figures and resign if not achieved
A guy that says so much but does so little
He is beginning to sound like a stuck record for those of you old enough to remember stuck records.
Words are easy
So believable 😳
If we have tested 135,000 people in the UK, there are clearly tests available, so get some more where you got the last lot from and get the NHS staff tested. 2,000 tests after two weeks of lockdown is bloody embarrassing
does anyone think Boris' actions surrounding COVID have changed since becoming infected himself?
But isn't that the testing to see if you've had the virus & not the one to see if you've got it & therefore might infect others?
How long is he going to be pledging this?
Resign Boris. Resign. Let someone competent in to limit your damage. resignborisjohnson
Germany already test over 50,000 cases per day. They surpass South Korea. And pay 5,000 euro per family to self-employed, freelancer and small business that hire under 5 persons. But what does Boris cabinet do? When did he announce they will test 25,000 cases per day?
This man & his government must go, they & the Tories are responsible for this inaction, underfunding etc which the underlying cause of all their policies. If you didn't live during WW2 BJ shouldn't use analogies,it was horrific in the UK I know my parents did
yeah right......🙄
A day late and a dollar short.
Don't know why but have the impression that he is silently pursuing his 'herd immunity' agenda he pledged on day one. BBC news stated that only 2k health staff has been tested so far. Given the lack of testing and the number of asymptomatic positives I guess the strategy is clear
Really....? Good... His 50.000 new nurses and 30.000 new police officers will help to achieve this goal.. 😂 😂 😂 😂
restating is all well and good, but words are just that words, what we need is tangible action. The government needs to get its thumb out its arse and actually govern. They are elected to make these hard choices and descisions, not to dawdle because they are afraid of bad PR
But he tells porkies. He has form.
Yeah when they get It they change pretty quick. 🤦♀️
herd immunity by the back door whatever the politicians tell us?
This doesn't mean much when the virus is spreading in your society. The nationalist movement in the world has proven how inept their leaders are with this virus. You don't have to love regular politicians but they know how to do their jobs. We should have leaders that lead
Then bloody well get on with it
BorisJohnson stop talking and act!!!
Why has it taken so long for the Government to figure this out?
'Private facilities offer to help in Dunkirk-style effort.' I thought that mass gatherings on beaches were off. Talk about a mixed message.
Hahahaha! He’s taking the piss while killing people by pursuing his Herd Mentality!
I restate your cheque is in the mail.
