Boris Johnson hails 'colossal' UK troops as final Kabul flight lands in UK

RAF pilots flew 261,000 miles to carry evacuees to safety — among them 8,000 vulnerable Afghans, many of whom worked for the UK as interpreters or embassy officials.

One C-17 transporter plane leaving Kabul this week carried 436 people, the single biggest capacity flight in RAF history.The number of Afghans brought to the UK under the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy since it was established in April is around 10,000, double the expected number.

The British public aren't hailing the colossal failure of Johnson's govt to organise a repatriation (they've knew they had to organise by the end of august for over a year) that was worthy of one of the wealthiest countries in the world. One that would have left no one behind.
