US regulator delegated much of the safety assessment to Boeing and that the company in turn delivered an analysis with crucial flaws

Basically the aircraft design makes it unstable under certain circumstances especially while taking off and software is used to correct it. Surprising how this concept, a recipe for disaster, was ever accepted.

FAA -- a bunch of white collar, corrupt paper pushers! Their power has needed to be taken away & given to the Blue collar inspector. Power needs to be reversed, not roles! The inspector on the line should be Enforcers! Thus, they need badges, guns, handcuffs & the power of LAW!

Europe and others ban Boeing 737 MAX 8 but US stands firmChina, Australia, Norway and Singapore are also among those to ban the aircraft after Sunday's fatal crash in Ethiopia.
