No way- optional pilot safety - are companies buying a Bentley from Boeing

And of course, a billion dollar company like Boeing is still gonna get away with this. 😪 Give this 3 weeks & the media will stop talking about it.

Major flaw in Boeing electronics & policy You now pay extra for technology that stops you nose diving into the ground?

Extra? Just don't install it... period

Oxford100 So - Air con - tick Food warmer - tick Inflight entertainment - tick Life saving gear - nah pass

professy92 adds on. Lol, boeing really have extra jokes. Boeing deserves to be sued.

Let’s get this straight,Boeing charge extra for a safety feature that will stop planes crashing;have I got this right?

How can a SAFETY feature be optional. It should be mandatory. Boeing must really relook this.

This clearly depicts that the Company is least bothered about safety of passengers and crew. Relatives of the victims must sue this Company.

So each airline decided to save a few bucks? ,,, And hire young, relatively inexperienced pilots, also at a lower salary probably until they gained some experience? Hmmm. Let me check my next flight booking options!

Ryan Air pilots must be bricking it then!

Meanwhile the flaw is there 2 planes ✈️ went down for the same technical fault to put a disagree light in cockpit maintenance which they didn’t have

Hi, British Parliament can block Brexit.

Proved to be a very expensive saving.

In gaming terms, these were the optional but essential DLCs that were not bought to complete the story mission. Didn't realize that this 'extra' practice has spread to airline industry as well!

This is not good, surely the victims families will no doubt be pursuing compensation from the airline

Boeing 737 Max: US prosecutors investigate plane after fatal crashesInvestigation, issued by grand jury in Washington DC, includes subpoena seeking documents related to aircraft’s development If you have ONE (1) sensor that then is used to override pilot action, that is criminal and negligent. Ethiopia crash plane was set to 'dive' device found in wreckage showsPreliminary data from Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 shows wild swings in the aircraft's vertical speed before the crash, indicating the craft was climbing, leveling off, diving, and climbing again. Here’s an idea: There may be some things humans do better than algorithms. Like maybe algorithms shouldn’t be the only ones flying planes. Surely they should all be grounded world wide until this is resolved and fixed
