A 44-year-old man is being held on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead near a fire station this morning.
Police were called to the scene in Upton upon Severn, Worcestershire, at around 8am after the body was discovered. Detective Inspector Jim Bayliss said: ‘Our enquiries are very much in their early stages and at this stage the woman’s death is being treated as suspicious.‘Extra officers will be in the area, both to carry out enquiries and to offer reassurance.’
