The owners of an area of green belt land have been told to remove horse shelters after retrospective planning permission was refused.
Many of the new owners used the area to house a total of 33 horses and a number of shelters were built.One of the shelters covers a space of 10ft by 10ft and houses two Shetland ponies The group has been given 84 days to stop the incorrect usage of the land and 140 days to remove the shelters.

Plainly the councillors are making up rules as they go along! In the current drought conditions and every winter, grazing farm livestock are fed supplement feed! So why can't the same be provided for the horses!

So easy planning decision on new builds on New Lane granted as there is clearly money to be made, yet equestrian owners have to bend over backwards to change the use of the land they have bought. What is wrong with these people at the council?
