Birmingham City will be deducted nine points by the EFL for breaching profitability and sustainability rules, reports BBC WM.

Birmingham City will be deducted nine points by the English Football League for breaching profitability and sustainability rules, reports BBC WM.

There is no official confirmation of the punishment from the EFL at this stage, but it is understood that there will be no further financial penalties for the club, nor would they be under a future transfer embargo relating to this issue. In January Birmingham revealed a £37.5m loss to the end of June 2018, largely a result of their wage bill rising from £22m to almost £38m.

Another 9 for their supporters? Paul Mitchell is not alone

Wow; that's a bit harsh

They should really consider moving to Scottish football if they want to break rules with no consequences

“So they’re in financial difficulty? I know! We should punish them by putting them in EVEN MORE financial difficulty by getting them relegated. That’ll teach them a lesson!” Financial fair play - only fair on the rich clubs spending money way out of reach of the rest of us. 🙄

Marseille falls apart: why is France's second city crumbling?Marseille is facing its biggest crisis in decades as many of its historic buildings-turned-slums are collapsing, with often tragic results Simply look to the demographics. 40% of the population of Marseille is now Muslim, and majority of these from North Africa. If you've been to North Africa and seen the state of their cities then Marseille will be nor surprise. The same reason why her first city is crumbling one would expect. This article does touch on it to some extent but it's mainly due to corruption in gov.depts and outdated laws. A friend has some land on the outskirts of Marseille and has not been allowed to sell it for the last 8 years due to corruption and gov. reg. Its the same in Paris 😢😢
