Lawyers for Anne and Anders Holch Povlsen argue proper consideration was not given to the project's environmental impact

The couple own land near the proposed Space Hub Sutherland and have concerns about its impact on protected areas.The project's backers have said the site, which would be the first of its kind in the UK, will create new jobs. Advocate Malcolm Thomson QC said: "There's nothing about visitor viewing facilities, car parking, nothing of that nature.

The impact on the environment, including the Caithness and Sutherland Peatlands Special Protection Area, and risk to human health were among the reasons for objections.

I would have thought that we needed to clear most of the space junk first, before anybody built a launch base for even more satellites.

Don't they need good weather for space launches? Not sure Scotland is the best place for that 😝
