Bill dodger threatens to 'burn down restaurant' after boss vows to release image of diner

A customer who reportedly left without paying has allegedly threatened to "burn down" a burger joint after the boss threatened to release an image of the diner.

Talking about the situation, co-owner Joe Smith said that when it was time to pay, it became apparent neither had any cash and only had one card between them. The woman's card did not work and neither did her online bank with her insisting she was "very sorry and would be through early next day to settle her bill" but is yet to live up to her promise, he told Teesside Live.

Joe added: "At the moment, as I am a man of my word, I am going to give the woman an extra 48 hours since she contacted us yesterday once the initial post went up it started to gain momentum.
