People all over Yorkshire were dazzled last night by the sight of the Aurora Borealis, which appeared in the sky due to a geomagnetic storm.
But many will be gutted to have missed out on seeing the iridescent night sky. So, with that in mind, we've put together a list of some of the the best locations across Yorkshire to check out the phenomena as it has the potential to return tonight and on Sunday. The best advice to view the Northern Lights is to seek high up, open spaces with low light pollution. This would seem the best advice, as the Met Office has predicted 'patchy low cloud, mist and fog' spreading across the skies tonight .The advice is also to look towards the northern horizon and to be prepared to be waiting hours to catch a glimpse of the beautiful sight.
