A MUM on benefits has slammed her local council after they put her and her two kids in a £500-a-week glamping chalet.Nicola and her two kids have been living in the 'gamping pod' for months
The timber chalet has cost Cornwall Council nearly £500 a week, although the council said it had now found her a flat.But they were unable to find her suitable accommodation and instead put her in an out-of-season “glamping pod”. But Ms Ibbotson said it was difficult living in the small one-room chalet which includes a kitchenette and en-suite shower and toilet, with two young children.“I feel a bit angry about how I’ve been treated.
A spokeswoman for Cornwall Council said: “Cornwall Housing takes all possible action to help prevent homelessness.
