Motorists have been asked to avoid the area

Drivers have been asked to avoid the Beersbridge Road while the incident is dealt with. The road has been closed at the junction with Castlereagh Road and diversions are in place.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "The Beersbridge Road in east Belfast is currently closed at its junction with the Castlereagh Road due to a fire in the area. "Traffic is being diverted through Trillick Street and Lord Street.
