Budweiser do not appear impressed with Qatar’s decision to ban alcohol at the World Cup, which they pay €75m to sponsor“There is no impact to the sale of Bud Zero which will remain available at all Qatar’s World Cup stadiums. Host country authorities and FIFA will continue to ensure that the stadiums and surrounding areas provide an enjoyable, respectful and pleasant experience for all fans.

“The tournament organisers appreciate AB InBev’s understanding and continuous support to our joint commitment to cater for everyone during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.”The news comes just two days before the World Cup kicks off, with host nation Qatar taking on Ecuador in the opening match,Qatar also finds itself in the spotlight over a number of other issues, including the deaths of many migrant workers who built the stadia and the nation’s treatment of women and LGBTQ+ people.

Did FIFA really expect a Country that has no respect for human rights to respect contracts? You reap what you sow and hopefully FIFA get sued into oblivion.

This isn't new news watch g nevs video on YouTube from his time in Qatar. He is told then that no alcohol in and around the stadiums and will only be in the fanzones and hotels. This was filmed weeks ago

I have no sympathy for the people annoyed that they can’t get beer in the stadiums. You don’t need beer to enjoy the game (or if you do, you probably shouldn’t be there). That said, it’s a joke that they’re allowing this, two days before kick off. Debacle of a World Cup.

Note to Gareth, Harry, Gary et al - This is how you stage an effective protest in support of your own country's cultural norms. Well done Qatar for sticking up for what YOU believe in.

Imagine doing 10pints of £10 bud zero on a match day 😂

No one in the stadiums is allowed to drink with the exception of corporate spectators, what an absolute farce! Make sure they keep filling the cups of the rich meanwhile the real fans can’t even enjoy a World Cup.

Qatar World Cup: Beer to be banned from stadiums, Sky News understandsThe sale of alcohol is strictly controlled in Qatar, and it had to relax its restrictions to allow FIFA sponsor Budweiser to sell its products outside World Cup match venues and fan zones. Now, it is understood fans will be told they cannot buy beer at any games during the event. And that is what you get when you place a global so called inclusive event in a backwards corrupt nation for the blood money. Shame on you FIFAWorldCup the backlash will sting. Third world country with third world values.... I think we're going to lose a large percentage of the gammon population after they get imprisoned in Qatar. What a shame.
