Sunderland Royal hospital running out of beds despite having added 50 for this winter

Patients have had to sleep overnight in the A&E unit of one of the NHS’s biggest hospitals because it is overwhelmed by the number of people needing care, a leaked memo reveals.

Keep voting for the Tories who spend on military weapons and practice austerity on public services like the NHS and this is what you will get!

Maybe ask your local tory MPs to sort it...I do feel great empathy for those that are struggling but...

Idea... remove the state’s monopoly on national healthcare and let the free markets have a shot.

It happens in EVERY A&E-it's called 'too much demand'! Don't go to A&E with a papercut or a sniffle!

10 years of Tory neglect.

It's almost like state run healthcare is garbage. Who would have thought?

On the down side too, you can fall into the waiting trap as patients that already affect the 4hrs plus loose priority while patients under 4hrs are prioritized.

No worries, the £350million a week will make a difference soon, right?
