"Classroom-based teachers and support staff are very diverse. Middle leaders are very diverse. But the School Leadership Team is not diverse at all." Prof Alice Bradbury, co-author of the study, told us there's "a big issue with teacher retention in general… but teachers from minority backgrounds tended to have even lower retention rates than white British teachers"."There was a feeling that there was a sort of point at which the barriers started to come up," she said. "That it was noticeable that the senior leadership teams were not as diverse as the rest of the school.

I dont agree with this either. I dont need my own people to feel comfortable and if you do then you’re probably someone who prefers to stay in their own circles and isn’t going to be a fit in that environment.

Maybe because they don't want to be teachers?

Perhaps don’t fixate on looks and know your own talent. I did the bins last week even though I don’t look like the bin man.

How Strange. I look around the English Scottish and welsh national team and their club sides and I don't see people like me (home grown British Muslim) I'm told we are genetically predisposed to being rubbish at football, while the English national team keeps coming home early.

Sorry bit someone with an attitude of “you can’t be what you can not see” needs to re-examine their outlook.
