BBC star stands by 'sarcastic' standing ovation for Ricky Gervais

Lolly Adefope has defended her sarcastic response to Ricky Gervais winning an award Lolly Adefope has said she ‘doesn’t regret’ her sarcastic response to Ricky Gervais beating her show when picking up an award. Last year comedian and creator of the Netflix series After Life Ricky won the best scripted comedy at the National Comedy Awards. Although he wasn’t there to receive it, the camera then panned to Ghosts star Lolly, who looked distinctly unimpressed.
