ShirleyBallas CurtisPritchard SBDC_UK ingridmackinnon joestilgoe Pity your words were so harsh to fellow woman EmmaBarton on last night's strictly bbcstrictly - definite change of tone for the worse when judging Emma & Anton. Such a sad end to a wonderful first night!
ShirleyBallas CurtisPritchard SBDC_UK ingridmackinnon joestilgoe Fabulous! Love the hair ShirleyBallas, looks gorgeous xx
ShirleyBallas CurtisPritchard SBDC_UK ingridmackinnon joestilgoe What a shame you were so rude to EmmaBarton tonight. Just plain nasty. Stop favouring men over women! No need to be so harsh.
CurtisPritchard That’s it!!! You tease! More required! I’m laid up here eith a broken knee. I need entertainment. Also Shirley’s “there are some body parts moving there that I’m not familiar with” Comedy GOLD
CurtisPritchard Looking forward to seeing you on bbcstrictly Jane. chacha janegarvey1
joestilgoe janegarvey1 for Strictly! You know you want to really.
ShirleyBallas CurtisPritchard SBDC_UK ingridmackinnon joestilgoe Looking well
joestilgoe A good advert for dancing. Especially as it teaches respect for a partner as well as being fun and good for the body and brain! Jane deserves a medal for being a good sport, if not a brilliant dancer?! Hard to tell as on the radio..
joestilgoe Brilliant programme this morning - such good fun!
joestilgoe Too late to learn to dance? Never!
ShirleyBallas CurtisPritchard SBDC_UK ingridmackinnon joestilgoe Across Europe (including the UK) there is a tradition often called Balfolk, which is like a cross between celeidh/Scottish country dance and ballroom/couple dancing. It is very overlooked particularly in the UK but is the best introduction to social dancing I can think of.
ShirleyBallas CurtisPritchard SBDC_UK ingridmackinnon joestilgoe I met my husband at salsa lessons. 2 years later we got married and 13 years on we have a 9 and 7 year old child. When I was pregnant with my first child, when I used to walk up the steps to the salsa lessons she used to start kicking in time to the beats on the music.
ShirleyBallas CurtisPritchard SBDC_UK ingridmackinnon joestilgoe Brilliant! We are huge StrictlyComeDancing fans here and we're just working on the release of Nikki_Vallance's debut novel, Pivotal, which is a split narrative story around the gift of a tango school business to four women - the author is a big fan of Tango dancing!
ShirleyBallas CurtisPritchard SBDC_UK ingridmackinnon joestilgoe Why dance? Might as well ask, why breathe?! To live....
ShirleyBallas CurtisPritchard SBDC_UK ingridmackinnon joestilgoe I end my show with the courgette dance and get everyone involved in the actions. Always lifts the spirits 🥒 DancingWithCourgettes funwithvegetables StrictlyComeDancing
ShirleyBallas CurtisPritchard SBDC_UK ingridmackinnon joestilgoe I am 71. Why I dance? For me it keeps me young and it’s like making love with our clothes on. It’s safe to connect and stay young.
