A friend described her fear of the road to me last week. Also in sports now it seems where males may take the podium in women’s races. Melmbr My son and I went to Peddleabikeaway in the Forest of Dean yesterday where there are lots of steep downhill trails and jumps. I was amazed at how few women there were. 2% perhaps. I was not on a bike, but made me feel perhaps I should! Melmbr I resumed cycling last year, during lockdown, it was bliss, free roads. It is a little scary but i act like i am car and am entitled to be on the road, so that i don't cower too much. I have driven for years so i do have strong road sense too.
