The BBC has acquired all nine seasons of the hit American legal drama Suits; mockumentary St. Denis Medical; and the series continuation of the hit Best Man films, The Best Man: The Final Chapters, for BBC iPlayer and TV channels. The three titles have been acquired from NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution.
St. Denis Medical is a new workplace comedy set in an underfunded and understaffed Oregon hospital. At St. Denis Medical Centre, the dedicated doctors and nurses are trying their best to treat patients whilst maintaining their own sanity. The series stars Wendi McLendon-Covey , Allison Tolman , Josh Lawson , Mekki Leeper , Kaliko Kauahi , Kahyun Kim , and David Alan Grier .
Sue Deeks, Head of BBC Programme Acquisition, says: “This is a really exciting and enjoyable trio of star-studded series: the hotly-anticipated comedy, St. Denis Medical, the sassy, romantic comedy-drama, The Best Man: The Final Chapters, and the smart and stylish legal drama, Suits. We couldn’t be more delighted to bring them all to BBC viewers.”
