Barisic and Sterling miss Rangers training ahead of Sparta clash

Philippe Clement may have to get creative at left-back after Borna Barisic missed training alongside Dujon Sterling ahead of the clash with Sparta Prague.

Clement hasn't had his injury troubles to seek so far and is yet to train with a full squad since taking the reigns. And after Barisic picked up a knock at the weekend, he's now facing a big call over who he starts at left-back. Ridvan Yilmaz is unavailable having not been registered and now reports claim both Barisic and Sterling - who may have been third choice behind the two recognised left-backs- haven't trained.

New Rangers boss Clement's first game in charge went to plan with a 4-0 win over Hibs and he was able to welcome Todd Cantwell back off the bench. Danilo also made his return while Ryan Jack was an unused sub. Yilmaz's absence could pose a longer-term problem but he is unregistered for Europe so wouldn't have been available on Thursday anyway.
