Bargain Hunt's Roo Irvine has been stealing the show with her expert antique knowledge and quirky style since she first appeared on our screens in 2018. The Scottish gem, with her eye for vintage treasures, quickly became a fan favourite.
Roo was left devastated when her father suddenly passed away, followed shortly by the death of her father-in-law. The star, 32, opened up about her sorrow on her website, stating: "Kilcreggan Antiques came about quite by luck when suddenly, and unexpectedly, in 2013, my wonderful Dad passed away. I was heartbroken and devastated."She went on: "We walked away from our senior corporate jobs and focused on taking care of our widowed mothers.
Roo further delved into the heartbreaking events on the Things I Forgot Were Good For Me podcast. She disclosed that she had moved in with her mum following the tragedy, saying: "We'd been with my mum for five, six months, and we thought, well, we still have to pay the bills, what do we do? ". It wasn't long before she swapped boardrooms for auction rooms, also popping up on other BBC hits like Antiques Road Trip and Flipping Profit.
