The Bank of England carried out due diligence three times on a firm that was subsequently revealed to have given paying clients early access to market-sensitive information without the Bank’s knowledge.

I've had two banks (I have accounts with) phone me unexpectedly and proceed to ask me my security questions. That is *exactly* how scammers and phishers work...and banks practice encourages customers to let guard down My first thought was had the solicitor done everything they should have to protect their customers details. Shouldn’t they have been liable and shouldn’t their insurance cover it? Yes I agree. Electronic currencies should not be allowed to commence until these issues are ironed out. Banks need to own up to responsibility of their weak internal security systems. Plus cash should not vanished as important for the older generation and low income families.
